FYR, here’s brief explanation of “Way of the electric vehicle power supply and DC charging system”

Electronic vehicle or Train must be powered from external rechargeable electricity. This power supply is generally called Charger. Using power electronics, power supplies directly to the vehicle battery after converting AC to DC. It can be divided into rapid charger, slow charging stand for AC power supply in a public place and home charger.

In case of home charger or charging stand, the vehicle-mounted charger converts AC to DC to avoid the matter to supply AC power supply to it. It is a global trend that the use of these chargers, even if the AC power supply vehicle, taking into account the charge of the domestic power equipment capacity and safety of charge.

DC charging system is that high-capacity DC quick charger is to charge directly through interface communication between electric vehicle and battery. Bi-directional power transfer has not reviewed so far due to R&D cost, its efficiency and difficulties of developing core components. If you need bi-directional power transfer in future, DC charging systems must be developed to duplex power transmission system. Also, electric car should be developed to have bi-directional power transfer interface. DC charger using the high-voltage and high-current can effect devastatingly on the battery during charging and discharging. Accordingly, it should be properly controlled by considering the life of the battery charge and discharge currents.

In conclusion, the litz cable(wire) must be more important key component than any other things regarding current supplying and collecting systems on high frequency.
